Starting from this January, Tirana town hall banned concrete mixer trucks from driving around in the Albanian capital from 7 AM to 8 PM, a move that is being contested by construction companies as they claim it “penalizes their work”.
The Albanian Builders Association has reached out to the government and the Tirana town hall calling for their comprehension and lifting the ban.
They argue that it is impossible to work with concrete at nighttime.
In addition, they say that the process lasts longer than 12 hours and cannot be interrupted.
The transported concrete must be put to use within a specific timing, argue representatives of the association.
