Around 4 PM earthquake tremors of a 4.1 magnitude of the Richter scale were felt across Albania.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the epicenter was in Bulqiza, around 37 kilometers away from the capital.
The latest data from the Institute of Geosciences point to another smaller 2.2 magnitude quake that struck at the same location around 12:48 PM.
Another 3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Elbasan, taking the tally to three over the course of a day.
The Seismological Monitoring Network (IGJEO) announced that no material damages have been reported so far.
Albania has been struck by several earthquakes in the past two years, with the most devastating one recorded on 26 November 2019 which claimed the lives of 51 citizens and left thousands injured.
