Former Democrat MP Aldo Bumci confirmed to Euronews Albania on Friday that there will be several statute amendments at the Democratic Party’s National Assembly due April 30.

“We will make several changes to the statute, where MP’s will become automatically members of the National Council. There’s not a single person that doubts where the majority is at”, Bumci said.

He also emphasized that their arm will remain extended to the other faction of the Democratic Party.

“DP is getting back strong on its feet. 40,000 members participated in the process for the selection of branch candidates. From an organization and policymaking perspective, this party is heading toward fulfilling all its structures and we will have an exhaustive offer, a party filled with energy”, he said.

Another member of the Refoundation Commission added that the opposition will come forward with concrete, convincing proposals for the serious problems that the Albanian economy is now facing.

“This is a vivid party, we have the true membership base, This party is much more united than what it was before March 6”, he concluded.
