During his live appearance on Euronews Albania’s ‘NOW’, analyst Andi Bushati raised concern about the lack of a political alternative in our country, which according to him is usurped by the big political forces.

Bushati said that in an oligarchic system like ours, where everything is dictated by politics, the birth and triumph of new forces are impossible.

“I have never voted for the right, but if you look at the positions taken by Berisha and Basha after 2013, I would have rather voted for Astrit Patozi. And in fact, the reason people didn’t vote is that just like the opposition finds it difficult to topple regimes, it is just as impossible [for independent candidates] with this oligarchic system where policies are dictated by Veliaj. I took Patozi as an example for the right, but would there be a more hopeful option for the minors of Bulqiza than voting for the political organization, but they didn’t because no media broadcasted their struggle and their campaign,” – argued Bushati.
