Analyst Andi Bushati said during tonight’s ‘Shock’ that PM Edi Rama’s talk of a possible boycott of the EU Summit with the Western Balkans by Albania, is an ‘unprecedented act’.

According to Bushati, by lining up alongside Vucic, Albania and North Macedonia are acting as an umbrella for Serbia, to defend it from being discredited on the global stage, where it would otherwise suffer consequences for its actions in support of Russia.

“It has never happened for Albania to boycott an EU summit. Why should we coordinate with Serbia about something that the latter has nothing to do with? Why does Vucic not want to participate in the EU Summit? Because that’s where he will surely be asked about his refusal to sanction Russia. Skopje and Tirana are acting as an umbrella to protect Vucic from being discredited. We’re leaving orbit. Vucic setting Albania apart from the EU is an utterly serious act,” – said Bushati.
