Kosovo’s former Minister of Integration, Bekim Collaku, declared that it would be an impossible mission, to have Dick Marty’s resolution on former KLA leaders actually be overthrown.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Collaku said that the government of Albania and Kosovo should work together and should coordinate actions with international partners regarding this issue.

“Looking at yesterday’s immediate reactions of several MPs, representatives of various parliamentary groups in the Assembly of the Council of Europe, it seems very difficult, if not mission impossible, to issue a new resolution, which would overthrow the preliminary resolution approved in 2011.

However, efforts should not stop. I think that the Albanian government should work closely with the government of Kosovo, and above all coordinate actions with our international partners, the USA, Germany, France or other European countries”, he emphasized.

From Strasbourg, Prime Minister Rama, at the General Assembly of the Council of Europe, called on this institution to drop the accusations of organ trafficking against Kosovo.

A few months ago, 125 MPs in the Parliament of Albania voted in favor of the resolution that overturns Dick Marty’s report on the killing of people and organ trafficking in Albania and Kosovo.

This report was then officially forwarded to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Marty has claimed that KLA members carried out trafficking against Serbian and Kosovar citizens in the north of Albania, in the period after the end of the war in Kosovo, mainly after June 1999.
