After attending the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that he is impatiently waiting to return to parliament in September.

“I can’t wait, I am one of the founders of the pluralist Parliament in Albania, so I can’t wait”, said Berisha.

Regarding the lawsuit against US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in light of the designation of Berisha as “persona-non-grata” by the Department of State, the former Albanian premier said that legal procedures are on the way and his French attorney will soon submit all the paperwork in court.

“Legal procedures are not emergent procedures. I really trust my lawyer. I can tell you that we are on the final steps prior to submitting the lawsuit in court”, concluded Berisha.

Sali Berisha, one of the founders of the Albanian Democratic Party, was welcomed with a standing ovation as he walked into the National Assembly, showing that he remains a highly important figure among the ranks of the Democrats.
