As Albania is only a few weeks away from the April 25 elections, the Central Election Commission has convened on Thursday to decide on the official ballot paper template that will be used on the April 25 elections.
Head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi has proposed the voting paper that consists of names of candidates instead of that with numbers.
“We have considered as appropriate the voting paper that consists of the candidates’ names, which is more in compliance with the law,” argued Commissioner Celibashi during the meeting.
The ballot paper with be of an A3 format, with different sizes for each district, depending on the number of candidates. Its approval will then lead the CEC to decide on the printing of the ballot papers and the electoral materials.
