Police authorities have seized a container at the Port of Durres on suspicion that it contains cocaine. The container belongs to Alba Exotic Fruit, which makes it the fifth time that the company is involved in drug trafficking.

Sources near Euronews Albania believe that there might be around 10 kilos of cocaine inside the container.

The same sources confirm that the stash had been hidden near the lid of the refrigerator.

This is the fifth time that the company’s name comes in up in a major international drug bust since 2019.

Authorities suspect that the country of origin is Ecuador.
