More Albanians believe that the justice reform has gone wrong rather than well, according to Euronews Albania’s survey.

Only one in four Albanian citizens (25.1%) believe that the reform has progressed well, while 11% believe it went very badly.

In total, more than one-third of Albanians responded “bad” or “very bad”. Meanwhile, almost nobody responded “very well” (0.8%), and only 24% responded “well”.

This marks a stark decline in citizens’ trust in the justice reform, five years after it began implementation.

In 2016, the adoption of the justice reform was propagandized also through a poll according to which 91% of Albanians wanted the justice reform.

According to voter tendency, the most dissatisfied was the electorate of the Democrats – nearly two-third believe that the reform went “bad”.

The opposite prevails among Socialist voters: half of them (50.3%) believe that the reform went well and only one in ten (11%) responded that it went wrong.

Among neutral voters, a majority still do not have a good nor a positive stance over the reforms’ progress, although it was adopted five years ago.

One-third of undecided voters (32.2%) believe the reform did not go well, and less than two in ten of the respondents (14.5%) believe it went well.

The findings are based on a survey conducted by Euronews Albania in September, in cooperation with MRB and Data Centrum.
