Over the first 3 months of 2022, the number of building permits has gone up by 58.2% compared to a year ago.
In total, 397 building permits were issued this year, compared to 251 that was approved last year.
These permits account for a total building space of 1.031.088 m 2 compared to 599.446 m 2 that were approved during the first trimester of 2021 – marking a 72.0% rise.
The estimated value of these permits is 39 billion ALL, compared to 26.6 billion ALL approved during the first trimester of 2021 – marking a 46.7% rise.
The data published by INSTAT show that Tirana’s City Hall has approved 112 permits, followed by Durres with 84 permits.
The municipalities with the fewest permits issued were the Municipality of Kukes (4) and the Municipality of Diber (5).
