Tirana Court cleared the way on Sunday for the extradition of Nikolin Janina to Spain.
The hygiene and sanitation businessman will stay in prison for 40 days until his court papers are released from Spanish authorities arrive in Albania.
Spanish authorities had issued an international warrant for his arrest over drug trafficking charges.
It is suspected that Janina was involved in the traffic of heroin, morphine, and opium, which were being sold in the EU member states.
He is also suspected to be the chief of an organized crime group.
The Serious Crimes Prosecution had launched a probe into Janina back in 2017.
The court also seized his property estimated at €4 million.
