Tomorrow, at 10:00 a.m., the Criminal Court is expected to issue a final ruling on the 34 suspects arrested after Berisha’s protest on January 8.
Judge Arben Micko will be issuing the ruling because the judge appointed through a random tally, Rexhina Merlika, is unable to attend due to a health issue.
Euronews Albania has learned that the prosecution has asked the court to sentence 30 out of the 34 arrested individuals to ‘conditional probation’.
In addition, for the remaining 4, the prosecution has asked for ‘house arrest’. Amongst those arrest, there are also citizens from North Macedonia and Kosovo.
According to the casefiles reported so far, of those arrested, 11 are supporters of Basha and 23, are Berisha’s supporters.
