Eight citizens died in the past 24 hours in Albania due to complications attributed to COVID-19. The ministry of health has also announced that out of a total of 3.180 tests conducted nationwide, 594 came back positive and were added to the positive case count, spread across the following municipalities:
237 in Tirana, 45 in Durres, 43 in Fier, 33 in Shkoder, 32 in Elbasan, 23 in Berat, 16 in Kamez, Saranda, 14 in Lushnje, 11 in Vlora, 8 in Gjirokaster, Mallakaster, 7 in Kruja, Vora, Patos, Dimal, 6 in Kukes, Lezha, 5 in Maleis e Madhe, Kurbin , Devoll, 4 in Gramsh, Kucova, Roskovec, 3 in Fushe Arrez, Himara, Kkorca, Peqin, 2 in Kolonja, Tepelane, Konispol, Delvina, Miredita, Tropoja, Has, Puka, Vau i Dejes, 1 in Shijak, Kavaja, Diber, Selenica, Permet, Kelcyre, Memaliaj, Pogradec, Skrapar, Cerrik, Librazhd.
At the moment, there is a total of 6.726 active cases in the entire territory.
COVID-designated hospitals around the country are providing specialized treatment to 140 inpatients, 11 of whom are exhibiting severe forms of the virus.
