Albania reported 13 victims from COVID-19 over the last day, as the official death toll reached 2,184.

So far, authorities have administered over 59.300 vaccine doses mainly to healthcare and education staff, as well as the elderly.

After testing 2.794 samples, authorities confirmed that 472 citizens tested positive on the last day, while the overall case count is over 122.000.

The situation in hospitals has improved in the past weeks dropping to 340 patients, of which 19 in intensive therapy wards.

However, a concerning figure is that of active infections, with the capital counting over 22.000 active cases.
