Five citizens died from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, while 672 tested positive.

In total, more than 172,950 people have won the battle against the virus from the beginning of the pandemic, while the positive case count has reached 183,282.

Currently, there are 7,431 active covid patients in Albania, with nearly half of them in Tirana.

The Ministry of Health has continuously called on citizens to get vaccinated in order to avoid a surge in hospital figures.

From November 1, citizens older than 60 years of age became eligible to get a booster shot, in addition to lowering the vaccine age to +16.
