COVID-19 claimed the lives of 5 citizens on Tuesday meanwhile, another 2,156 tested positive.

More than 224,193 people have recovered from the coronavirus in Albania, while the total case count has reached 251,015.

Currently, there are 23,505 active cases across the country, of which 123 have been hospitalized.

The health ministry urged citizens to get vaccinated in order to avoid severe symptoms and potential hospitalization.

According to a tally kept by national health authorities, 3,317 have died from the beginning of the pandemic.
