During Tuesday’s plenary session, the leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha took aim at Socialist MP Klotilda Bushka, after her appeal to respect the ethical conduct of the Assembly.
Holding the booklet outlining the rules of conduct, Basha questioned how can the debate be on ethics when “the parliament houses members of organized crime”.
“This pile of paper that you have placed in front of us is nothing more but a criminal waste of taxpayers’ money from the OSCE”, said Basha. “There are criminals in this Assembly, members of organized crime that are under the radar of Europol, FBI and the DEA”.
Basha also underlined that the minimum that could be done is to vet politicians.
