Individuals who earned a gross salary of over 1.2 million ALL in 2024 are required to submit the Individual Personal Income Declaration. If not yet completed on the online portal of the Tax Administration, citizens have until the end of March to do so.
This year, the income declaration process has seen several changes, previously announced by the tax authorities — most notably, the threshold was previously 2 million ALL annually.
According to the Tax Administration, 144,000 individuals are required to complete the form, and more than half have done so already.
Those who fail to submit the declaration will face a penalty of 3,000 ALL, in addition to interest and late payment fees.
The purpose of this declaration, according to the Tax Administration, is to support checks for tax evasion. It must also be submitted by all individuals with two or more jobs, regardless of their income level.
