North Macedonia experienced a devastating new record-high death toll with 51 unfortunate victims losing their lives, in the last 24 hours.
This is the highest number of fatal deaths in a single day, whereas on March 3rd, there were 50 victims within a 24-hour timespan.
Since the onset of the pandemic, the neighboring country counts 4 073 victims, as the daily death tolls recently continue to be worrisome, with 45 victims being registered only two days ago.
North Macedonia is currently going through the peak of its third COVID-19 wave. In the past 24 hours, out of 4438 suspected tests, 1302 came out positive.
At the moment, 21 890 people are actively sick with the coronavirus, whereas since the beginning of the pandemic 137.729 citizens have contracted the virus.
