Democratic MPs have deposited a draft resolution at the Albanian Parliament today to condemn the Serbian massacre and genocide in Kosovo.
As DP’s caucus leader, Enkelejd Alibeaj, signed the document and submitted it to Parliament.
The resolution emphasized and used the term ‘genocide’ to define the violent acts carried out by Serbian armed forces in Kosovo’s territory.
“This is based on the report by the United Nations Special Rapporteur A/53/322 at the UN General Assembly on 11.09.1998, for the murders and executions of ethnic Albanians in their homeland as well as the high number of forced expulsions,” – stated the document amongst other things.
In addition, it mentions 100 collective massacres which were carried out against civilians in Kosovo, which include the demolition of residences and houses in many cities and villages in the territory of Kosovo; also taking into consideration the horrors and brutal acts committed against citizens which included burning them alive in the presence of family members, the cruel murder of children, women and the elderly etc.
