The Democratic Party introduced on Thursday a draft resolution composed of 10 points, claiming that it will tone down the current inflated prices.

The draft proposes to cut down VAT on the basket of goods to 6%, immediate suspension of circulation tax to 7 Lek on fuel, doubling the amount of economic aid for all vulnerable families, and raising the national minimum wage.

The deputy leader of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, blamed the crisis on faulty concessions and PPPs.

Meanwhile, energy minister Belinda Balluku maintained that the government has taken all necessary measures to overcome the crisis.

Prime Minister Edi Rama did not attend the plenary session as he was at the NATO Summit in Brussels.
