After more than 4 months of harsh debates and slams at a distance, the conflict with the Democratic Party is reaching its peak on January 8.

Democrats who participated in the referendum for Lulzim Basha’s dismissal were called in tomorrow’s protest by former PM Sali Berisha, who has declared that tomorrow will be the day he gains back control of DP.

Berisha’s public calls to this protest have been for a peaceful march but signals on the ground from both sides seem to be escalating an actual full-blown conflict.

The Democratic Party has taken several preliminary measures days before this protest by sealing all its doors shut, even though they’ve been closed under claims that the building is under reconstruction.

Berisha’s supporters will be gathering in front of DP’s front yard, but the latter is expected to be full of cars and vehicles, thus minimizing the available space.

Entering the building through force is a possible scenario for tomorrow’s protest as is the fact that demonstrators could occupy the main yard for hours.

On the other hand, Lulzim Basha has declared that tomorrow will be an ordinary day during which he will be at his office, as usual. However, in his other media appearances, Basha has said that he is prepared for whatever might happen.
