An Albanian businessman in the US and representative of the diaspora, Gjin Gjoka, says that now would be the right moment for a fiscal amnesty in Albania.

During his appearance on Euronews Albania’s NOW with Erla Mehilli, Gjoka said that the fiscal amnesty will help more than 500 thousand Albanian immigrants working abroad.

According to him, through amnesty, at least $8.5 billion dollars would be legalized through the transfer.

“It’s the right time, it’s today or never. No European country in which there are 400,000 Albanians who are supplied with gas, fuel, and eat in restaurants would agree that they should bring the money to Albania because they don’t want to have the money of these Albanian emigrants end up overseas”, said Gjoka.
