Doctor Sonila Brati said on Good Morning that infection figures seen in the last days are significantly high.
She also emphasized that if authorities were to test more people, figures would be even higher.
“We’ve seen cases rise from the end of December. We do around 50-60 visits per day. We’ve had long queues at the pediatric hospital, with high fevers reaching 40 degrees”, said the doctor.
She suggested getting the COVID-19 test done 2-3 days after showing symptoms, in order to have an accurate result.
She also weighed in on the presence of the common flu and its combination with the coronavirus.
“Flurona is a mixture of both”, she said, explaining that the symptoms are pretty much the same.
