The Democratic Party has reacted to the wage-leak scandal which revealed to the public the salaries of more than 600,000 employees claiming that it is “part of patronage system used to steal the elections”.

The deputy leader of the DP, Jorida Tabaku said that the scandal indicates that the state has been seized by the patrons “to protect the unlawful power hold of Edi Rama”.

“After PPPs, concessions and unlawful tenders that have ruined the economy and left a majority in poverty and harmed honest enterprises, while the life of each of you, of your family, of your colleagues and co-workers, is exposed to any blackmail and misuse, only because Edi Rama and his collaborators were willing to violate any law, threaten your safety, only to forcefully retain power ”, said Tabaku.

She said that the wage-leak scandal also resulted in damages to the market and Albanian professionals.

Tabaku also spoke about incinerators, calling it a “crime scene”.

“The bill from the incinerator concession goes to €430 million and this is the reason that even today, the Investigative Commission of Incinerators is being blocked and consciously boycotted by the Socialist Party, their political partners, and their media partners. But also from state institutions which refuse to present evidence and proof that prove the close links between the government and the real owners of incinerators”, said among others Tabaku.
