Today, the Democratic Party will be publishing the names of the 5.004 delegates that were said to have participated in yesterday’s National Assembly.
Basha’s Assembly adopted a series of decisions yesterday, which exclude all members declared non-grata from the party ranks.
The resolution adopted on December 12, during DP’s National Council and certified by yesterday’s Assembly, determined that the December 11 Assembly – called by the party’s historic leader, Sali Berisha – was ‘illegitimate’ and thus the decisions made by its participants were declared ‘null’ and unlawful.
According to the resolution, all decisions made during this Assembly are now invalidated and will have no political or legal standing for DP.
“There is no referendum. It’s just a couple of DP members, who I once again urge to join us and accept the decisions of our institutions,” – said DP’s leader last night, after declaring that he doesn’t recognize Berisha’s referendum.
At the end of the Assembly, DP’s leader, Lulzim Basha declared that there would be complete transparency in regards to the names of delegates that voted in yesterday’s Assembly, despite the fact that it was a secret ballot.
