Journalist Denis Dyrnjaja expressed his reservations regarding Rama’s third-term cabinet, arguing that he sees the dissolution of the Ministry of the Diaspora as an “irrational choice”.

“The Ministry of the Diaspora was dissolved. There were summits and engagements that were echoed in the media and in the end everything came undone,” said Dyrnjaja on Euronews Albania’s ‘NOW’.

In addition, Dyrnjaja said that the new government is pointless, seeing that Rama takes all decisions. According to him, the ministers are only there for political gains.

“I believe that the government is pointless – Rama is prime minister and Rama is minister. The ministers are only there to receive a couple of portfolios and political and administrative CVs, and they’re most importantly not there to be ministers,” he argued.

Another concern raised by Dyrnjaja was the fact that the newly appointed ministers haven’t achieved any results, in contrast, they’ve mainly been rumored for being involved in problematic incidents.

“If you take into account the results achieved by our ministers, we generally don’t have ministers that leave great track records behind. They’re mostly rumored for problems, not achievements,” he added.

In addition, he also called Rama’s choice to have 4 state ministers in Albania, ‘senseless’ and ‘illogical’.

“Why do we need 4 state ministers? It really resembles an attempt to do ‘favors’. The most crucial aspects of our government are suspicious. Rama surrounds himself with 3 main individuals: Arben Ahmetaj, Damian Gjiknuri and Taulant Balla. These are the government, the party and everything Rama has,” added Dyrnjaja.
