The government of Kosovo gave the green light to the initiative for the negotiation of a loan agreement framework between the state and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) for the funding of the COVID-19 Emergency Response Project.
The initiative will seek to secure €25 million for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines and other necessary equipment, in addition to another €35 million that has already been ratified by the parliament of Kosovo.
The Minister of Finances, Labor and Transfers Hekuran Murati said that of the overall €60 million, €35 million have been already negotiated, in addition to another €25 million.
Furthermore, he said that the conditions by CEB are “most favorable” while interest rates will be subsidized by the bank.
