Bujar Spahiu, Head of the Muslim Community of Albania, has extended his greetings to Muslim believers on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

As believers conclude the holy month of Ramadan, Spahiu emphasizes that Eid al-Fitr is not simply a celebration spent with loved ones, but also a moment when we learn and embrace the highest human virtues.

“Today, Muslim believers are bidding farewell to the holy month of Ramadan.

We are saying goodbye to this blessed month, which brought forgiveness and mercy to each of us. Tomorrow is a celebration—it’s Eid al-Fitr!

Fasting was a one-month ‘school’ for every one of us. During this month, a person learns that humility—not arrogance—is a virtue. One learns that forgiveness is more valuable than revenge. One learns that caring for the poor and the helpless is a greater quality than indifference. One learns self-discipline, self-control, and self-education.

Tomorrow we celebrate with our families, relatives, and friends. But we do not forget to share this joy with the poor, the sick, and the elderly. Alongside our prayers to God for their hardships, we also offer them direct support to the best of our ability.

I wish this celebration brings harmony, solidarity, prosperity, and well-being to every Albanian family,” said the Head of the Muslim Community.
