The Commission of Organization and Control for Electoral Operations at the Democratic Party has announced that the voter turnout for the new DP leader until 13:00, was 24 164 members.

The highest voter turnout until 13:00 was registered in the counties of Tirana and Fier.

The two candidates in the race for the Democratic Party’s new leader are Sali Berisha and Ibsen Elezi.

Both cast their ballot earlier this morning, and shared their comments with the public and calling this a historic process for both the Democratic Party and Albania as a whole.

Elezi also noted that he will accept the final result but won’t tolerate any discrepancies during the counting process.
