During the last 2 days, more than 6500 people entered Albania through the Kapshtica border point.
Thousands of emigrants are returning home to celebrate end-year holidays with their loved ones after being kept apart due to COVID-19 measures.
“We came for the holidays. The situation was good, we had no problems”, said a citizen.
“We are coming for the holidays. We haven’t been here for 3 months,” said another citizen.
2,414 persons entered from Kapshtica on December 22, a figure that doubled on the 23rd.
All travelers are required to hold a vaccine certificate or a PCR test when entering Albania.
