“Macedonian Albanians will definitely have a written history from an institutional perspective, and we will gradually force state institutions to erase offensive texts from history textbooks”, said the chairman of the Macedonian Spiritual and Cultural Heritage Institute in an interview for “Good Morning” on Euronews Albania.

Dr. Skender Asani stressed that the objective is to remove offending material addressed against ethnic Albanians from school curricula, and rewrite the authentic history.

“We are ignored by the state institutions of Albania as side territories. We’re being attacked on two fronts”, he said.

“Our staff at the Institute will take over a 3-year project, but we will also be consulting with historians from Tirana and Prishtina, and international ones. We need to prove that our people have a history”, concluded Dr. Asani.
