Analyst Andi Bushati said during tonight’s ‘Shock’ on Euronews Albania that the fact that the United States Embassy in our country, is trying to impose its stance regarding Sali Berisha onto the Democratic Party is an example of how they’re “assaulting democracy”.
According to Bushati, Berisha’s ‘Pulpit tour’ is challenging this very dogma and putting it to the question.
“I am on the side of those individuals who believe that even the United States is able of making mistakes and when they do, we should be able to tell them and this is a great achievement which we owe to Berisha.
To some, it may sound folkloric, when they listen to citizens swear to Berisha that they’ve kept the American flag for the past 30 years and that they’ll now put it down. But, the initiation of this debate in a society like ours, is something utterly positive,” – said Bushati.
