Two Polish tourists died on Friday in a road accident near Shkodra.

The man behind the wheel that crashed with the motorcycle is a 27-year-old identified as David Gjonaj.

Euronews Albania secured the footage from a nearby bar that captured the accident on their security camera.

The two victims, a 45-year-old male, and a 42-year-old female from Poland was pronounced dead in the ambulance before arriving at the hospital.

The driver has been arrested and charged with reckless driving and may face up to 10 years behind bars.

14 people have died in road accidents this March, according to data from INSTAT.
