Tourism expert, Flora Xhemani Baba, declared that tourism in Albania has increased, even more than in 2019.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Xhemani said that although the number of tourists has increased, the growth rate is modest compared to othger countries in the region.

“One fact is certain, this season Albania had an increase in relation to 2019 in terms of performance, taking into account the number of tourists who have come, but also the economic figures. It is definitely a better year than 2019, but the growth rate compared to other countries in the region is relatively modest.

Perhaps considering Albania’s small capacity and how it performed this year, it could be a higher percentage than other countries. But if we take as the main indicator, the increase in percentages, the number of visitors, but also the flow in the economy, there’s still a lot to be expected if we are really the first country on the list in terms of our performance”, she argued.
