The Democratic candidate for mayor in Mallakaster, Agron Kapllanaj, said that Enkelejd Alibeaj only implemented the decision taken previously by DP’s Council and Party Leadership for the exclusion of 4 MPs from DP’s parliamentary group.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that he fully supports Alibeaj and that he too voted in favor of this decision.

“This clash did not arise today, but actually a year ago when Berisha won his personal battle and in order to do this, he used the DP. This is already clear and cannot be hidden any longer. I am not close to Alibeaj, but I am close to the DP. I am close to the chairman of the DP because this is the party I adhere to and of course I support him. I stand by the decision that was made by him and I was one of those who voted for this decision. I don’t see anything special or unique about this particular moment. Alibeaj has simply implemented a decision taken by the DP’s Council and Party Leadership” – said Kapllanaj.
