The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu commented on the declaration of the Serbian president and the PM of North Macedonia, who called on Albanians to vote for PM Rama on April 25th.
While on ‘Rinvote’, Euronews Albania, Mediu said that these declarations aren’t coincidental, they aim to damage the Albanian factor in the Balkans.
“I don’t believe that these declarations are coincidental, because it isn’t just Vucic, it is also Zaev; it is a network that is built in order to damage the Albanian factor in the region. Albanians, at the beginning of the century, were able to make some unimaginable achievements. Kosovo’s independence, Albania’s membership to NATO, visa liberalizations, Ohrid Agreement, Albanians in Montenegro going to the EU,” he said.
He threw accusations on PM Edi Rama, saying that since he has come to power, he has changed the political orientation of Albanians.
“Since Rama has come to power, he has changed the political orientation of Albanians, linking it to Belgrade, damaging the interest of Kosovo and dividing the Albanian factor like never before. But it is the most ridiculous event in 30 years or maybe since our creation as a state, that the ones that ask to keep Rama in power, are Vucic and Zaev. Our actions should be well-thought out. I see Albanians united in the United Europe. Vucic and Zaev don’t want this progress for Albania,” he said.
