Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that Lushnje mayor Fatos Tushe will be expelled from the Socialist Party.
In a meeting with the country’s mayors, Rama warned that similar measures will be taken on all those that must be held accountable in front of the taxpayers.
The Prime Minister also unveiled a new public procuring package, while mayors will be directly responsible for the management of public funds.
“I invite you to study this package, do not mingle nor favor anyone, and don’t play around with a fire that is becoming increasingly hotter as the new justice system will have my support against anyone playing with it”, said PM Rama.
He described the move as “important” and that it will increase the transparency in the public procuring system of the country.
