Fier mayor Armando Subashi, has been summoned by SPAK in connection to the incinerator affair – a scandal that has cost the state budget millions of dollars in damages.
He will be providing his testimony regarding the procedures followed in the tender race for the incinerator of Fier.
Even though expenses have been paid by the state budget, incinerators in both Fier and Tirana haven’t begun burning and processing their waste.
Sources near SPAK have announced that Socialist MP and former secretary-general at the ministry of agriculture, Alqi Bllako, has also been summoned to give his testimony about the incinerator scandal.

SPAK has begun investigations into these cases and a Parliamentary Inquiry Commission was also formed, in response to a request made by the Democratic Party.
Needless to say, the first meeting called by this commission was characterized by raised tones and heated debates.
Meanwhile, the list of names that will be summoned by the Inquiry Commission have also been announced and will include: PM Edi Rama, former ministers Ahmetaj, Koka, Gjiknuri, former head of waste management agency, Alqi Ballako, Secretary-General, Agaçi and mayors, Veliaj, Llatja dhe Subashi.
