Five foreign nationals, tourists in Dhërmi, have been arrested by the State Police for being involved in the distribution of hard drugs.
The detained individuals are:
- T. G., a 28-year-old Spanish citizen (female)
- C. M., a 28-year-old Brazilian citizen (male)
- Y. I., a 32-year-old Argentine citizen (female)
- R. D., a 40-year-old Argentine citizen (male)
- N. M., a 27-year-old Italian citizen (male)
During the physical search and inspection of the premises where these individuals were staying, police discovered a quantity of the drug GHB (Gamma-hydroxybutyrate) divided into 160 doses, 30 doses of Poppers, 49 doses of ecstasy, 2 doses of MDMA, 18 doses of cocaine, and 3 doses of cannabis, which were seized as material evidence along with 5 mobile phones.
Additionally, the police also found and seized 2,610 Argentine pesos, 340 euros, and 400 dollars, suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.
The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigative actions.
“Based on the investigative actions, it is suspected that these 5 individuals had come as tourists to Dhërmi and, in collaboration with each-other, were distributing drugs in doses in this coastal area, primarily targeting other tourists in nightlife venues and various entertainment activities held along the coast during the tourist season,” police announced.
