Edi Rama shouldn’t become Belgrade’s ‘personal joystick’ and destabilize the region. This is what former Chief Negotiators for the dialogue with Serbia, Edita Tahiri said on Euronews Albania.
Tahiri underlined that the reality in the Balkans has an explosive nature, in the sense that the situation is characterized by high tensions and the main factor is Serbia in collaboration with Russia.
“They create tension, in favor of a Greater Serbia. Albania should play a stabilizing role, not become a tool for Serbia’s destabilizing efforts and their efforts for a Greater Serbia. Albania should acquire the role of the region’s stabilizer,’ – declared Tahiri.
The former chief negotiator also noted that Rama’s affinity to the Serbian government is harmful not only to Kosovo, but the region in general.
In addition, she declared that Rama shouldn’t only say ‘nice words’ but put them into actions and concrete solutions as well.
In regards to tomorrow’s joint meeting, Tahiri said that there need to be more results in terms of the implementation of the previous agreements, rather than signing additional ones.
“I want to see a transparent raport be presented for the public after tomorrow’s meeting, that includes the implementation of these agreements,” – she said.
