Former Deputy Prime Minister Ledina Mandia said on Now with Erla Mehilli that the rhetoric used by the leader of the Democratic Party on party members that attended the National Assembly organized by Sali Berisha is “completely unacceptable”.
According to her, Basha made a “huge mistake” when describing them as “Bolsheviks”, or “people with criminal precedents.
Mandija said that the National Assembly served to connect with DP members on a ground-level, something that was currently in a stalemate.
“Tactically, Basha made a huge mistake by calling the members of the Democratic Party as Bolsheviks and then thieves or by insulting their intelligence. Leaders should use appropriate language towards party members and delegates. A leader should bring political unity. The idea is to have more people join the DP, not to expel current members, and turn the attention to the Rama regime. He has been harsher on DP members, then towards the regime”, said Mandia.
