The former footballer of Skënderbeu, Veteran Topciu, passed away at the age of 80.

For 12 years, from 1960-1972, Topçiu would play with Skenderbeu’s team, being one of the best defenders and midfielders of this team.

Veteran Topciu was not only a football player but also a well-known citizen of Korça.

Even today, he attended the meetings organized by the Korça municipality at the “Thimi Mitko” library, to talk about the concerns and problems of his city. He had health problems there, the intervention was immediate from the Korça hospital, and did everything to keep the former footballer of Skënderbeu alive, who unfortunately passed away.

Topçiu was at the hearings for the 2024 budget organized by the Korça Municipality. It is suspected that he suffered a heart attack
