The former President of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, Prof. Dr.Enver Hasani explained for Euronews Albania that the number of the ministers pertaining to minorities is determined by the Constitution.

“The Constitutional stipulates that in cases when there are more than 12 ministries, the third belongs to communities that are not a majority”, said Prof. Dr. Hasani as he spoke over a complaint filed Serb List against the Kurti government after the latter accorded them only one ministry.

He also added that the ruling of the Constitutional Court “prohibiting individuals with one criminal offense to run for public office”, without taking in consideration the gravity of their crime, “is something not normal”.

Prof. Dr. Hasani said that this is not the duty of the court of constitutionality and mentioned Albin Kurti’s case as “a matter that none of the sides involved wants to take the matter to the Constitutional Court”, now that he is officially the premier of the country.
