Kosovo’s Economic Chamber has held a meeting with members of the Economic Forum across Albania, where the goal is to influence companies in all Albanian lands.
The Chamber leader, Berat Rukiqi said that the forum’s goal is to increase the influence of Albanian entrepreneurs, not only in Albanian lands.
“The meeting is still underway; we are currently defining the developmental objectives of the forum. The main focus is the increase of the influence of Albanian companies everywhere they may be, not online in the south-eastern parts, but everywhere where the Albanian diaspora lives. But, at the same time, we need to look at the opportunities of how we can make the current mechanism more intensive and make it possible for important economic ventures set up by Albanians in the region to come together and unite,” – said Berat Rukiqi.
This forum, according to Rukiqi, is the strongest mechanism for common Albanian projects.
In addition, participants promised a concrete investment in the Presheva Valley and Montenegro.
“One of the first ideas is to have a concrete investment happen as soon as possible in Albanians spaces in Serbia, in the Valley. And in others parts of Ulqin and Montengro. And we are obviously looking at other projects which are of importance in terms of the growth of Albanian tourism, the development of agro-business and other energy and production projects and so ford,” – he added.
The head of the Albanian Forum for Economic Developmenet in Seriba, Muharrem Salihu also emphasized that for the past 5 years they are looking to create more jobs.
In this Forum, there are members of the diaspora as well. Artin Hani who lives in Vienna and who said that this initiative helps to support businesses and lifting barriers.
