Germany is concerned about the escalation of tensions in Kosovo and calls on both sides to find a compromise solution, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Andrea Sasse, emphasized today.
“I can say that we are watching the escalation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, which we are talking about, with great concern. You may have seen that the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, made a clear statement on behalf of all members. We support the efforts made by Borrell regarding the normalization of the situation between Serbia and Kosovo. We also support with all our strength the efforts of the EU special envoy, Miroslav Lajcak,” Sasse said at the press conference.
She recalled that Berlin has in several cases said that it should stop looking into the abyss of the expiry of the deadlines in the relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
