A meeting was called today at the headquarters of the Socialist party, where for more than 60 minutes, the party’s leadership group and PM Rama discussed issues revolving around a possible future reorganization plan.

At the end of the meeting, SP’s Secretary-General, Damian Gjiknuri gave a statement for the press, during which he said that SP is ready to hold the country’s partial local elections.

Gjiknuri also added that the Constitutional Court doesn’t have a reason to delay their decision any longer.

When asked regarding the democrats’ request to set up a Commission for the Electoral Reform, Gjiknuri said that it is simply an issue of technicalities and parliamentary procedures and that the commission will be formed eventually.

PM Rama has given socialists 100 days to present and propose a reorganization plan – a project, which will continue until the month of December.
