The government of Kosovo announced that it has signed an agreement with Pfizer and BioNTech for 1.2 million doses of its jab.
The news was confirmed by health minister Arben Vitia.
“You must understand one thing. Due to the many terms and conditions of confidentiality, we cannot give any more details. However, by the end of the year, 1.2 million Pfizer vaccines are expected to be delivered”, said minister Vitia.
The health minister reiterated that it the government’s priority to immunize the people against the virus through the vaccination campaign.
According to minister Vitia, the scenario will increase the possibility to vaccinate 60% of the population before the end of the year.
“This will give us the opportunity to do what we promised from the beginning, vaccinate 60% of the population by the end of the year”, added Arben Vitia.
