Pensioners will receive €40 in compensation from the government for the holidays.
“There are 668,000 pensioners that will benefit from the package granted today worth €29 million”, said finance minister Delina Ibrahimaj.
Among the other beneficiary categories are vulnerable families and people with disabilities, who will receive €25.
“There are around 72,000 individuals that will benefit from end-year compensations. The fund at the disposal for this category is around $4 million USD”, said health minister Ogerta Manastirliu.
The decision was a result of a government meeting on Wednesday, while the total sum going as compensation for all categories is circa $40 million USD.
